I am satisfied with this power adapter. Actually i received it exactly the day specified. Its really working great. Only thing is Normally when the power is low in ur mac battery, it will warn u to plug ur power adapter. But that doesnt happen. My Mac just shutsdown by itself without warning about power. But it is well worth for the price u pay.

This battery is great, I’ve had it for several months and it has allowed me to truly be wireless once again. The fit is not perfect, but who cares if it doesn’t sit in the battery space with precision when it just works seamlessly? The value for not buying Apple branded batteries can’t be beat!

The battery fits better in my iBook G4 than the original one provided by Apple. This review may be premature because I only had the battery for one day. However, I was using it for 6h with one charge. I can drop another review in a couple of months if I remember to do so. I saved .

Works well, and does show up as 65W in the System Profiler in my 17″ G4. Only issue is that the connector between the AC cable and the transformer box is not quite as tight as I’d like–it comes out slightly too easily. On the other hand, the connection between the DC cable and my PowerBook is much better than in the case of the Apple adaptor (which had also frayed and so it was time to replace).

I purchased this unit when the original adapter(of course)for my iBook G4 broke. When I saw that the Apple units were , it was just no way. I picked this one because of its 65W output. When the unit arrived(in three days and that was with the cheap shipping!) I put the wall cord section into the brick and noticed how snuggly it fit. I plugged it into the lappie and Voila, we were back to life.. and it recharged my battery in no time even under load. I did notice it got slightly warm.. but that is normal.Its been about a month and there have been no hiccups. I really like the fact that the computer side jack is sturdier than the apple unit. I don’t need an led there to tell me its charging.. thats on the finder bar anyway. I would have given it 5 stars.. but the cord is a little shorter than I would have hoped for. But hey, for including shipping, I’m not going to whine! GET ONE!

I bought this battery for my iBook G4. It fits and works perfectly.

Just like Apple’s battery, it has a charge indicator. Not sure how accurate it is, though, because when I push the button it lit 3 out of 4 lights but OSX said it was at 45% charge.

We’ll see how long it lasts, but since it is less than half the price Apple wants for their battery, I’m sure its worth it.

This is one of the most affordable replacements for Mac PowerBook that I’ve found. The cheaper ones have variable settings that get hot or over/under power the laptop. This one appears to have the appropriate power conversion and fits perfectly. The only major difference from the expensive Mac power cord is that there is no lighted ring where it plugs into the computer to indicate whether it’s charging or charged. But this is information is evident on the computers desktop battery indicator so I don’t miss it.

This is the second generic mac adapter I’ve bought, not wanting to spend on one from Apple. This one, like the other, died after only 3 months of use. It’s not worth the money, both for the lack of life of the item and also for the hassle it causes when you’re stuck without laptop power and can’t access anything until a new one arrives. I buy lots of things generic, but in this case, I’d spend the money on something that’s not a piece of junk.

The product description says:

“Original Brand New Apple Laptop AC Adapter with New Power Cord.”

To me that means it should come with the white square power brick and the white cord that hooks the power brick into the wall. When my order arrived, it contained the power brick but the cord included was black and clearly not made by apple. The black cord fits the power adapted however it does not complete the “sqaure” of the powerbrick. This whole thing was very misleading and now I see why it was so cheap. Buyer beware. I should have bought the official replacement from apple. My mistake.

I purchased this adapter from this seller. Firstly, it was the wrong power setting, only 45W instead of the 65W which is sold in America. Secondly, the adapter which plugs into the computer was smaller than the orignial Apple adapter and cracked in only 4 months of usage. This product is being pawned off as a new power adapter, but is really just a refurbished adapter which is junk. I wasted 55 bucks on it, don’t waste your money. Buy the adapter from Apple. Your extra 25 bucks will buy a product which may last years, instead of months.

Beyond that, it had no UL stamp, which I noticed after it started sparking and clracklng … this thing was clearly unsafe!

I was originally shipped the wrong battery, but I contacted their support and they told me to mail the wrong battery back and they would refund me the cost. I shipped it to them, emailed them the cost, and they refunded the money and sent the correct battery. So that was a little frustrating, but I’m okay with it. Mistakes happen.

As for the battery, it’s doing great. Admittedly, I haven’t used it much, but it was the right fit and is still holding the original charge from 5 days ago. Overall, it’s a good buy/value. Battery even had the light indicator status on the back.

Everything critical that everyone has written below is absolutely true. It’s cute with a funky design and — and these are the only positive things I can write. It can’t stand up to regular use. You’ll need a replacement sooner or later either because the cord ripped, the contact shorts or because you lost the prongs.

This is a terrible product – Apple should be ashamed of itself for allowing anything as cheesy as this part to remain in production. I’ve been through two of these adapters. As many reviewers have previously mentioned, my first adapter broke because of the inexcusably thin wire and flimsy connector that plugs into the laptop. The second Apple adapter I purchased just internally combusted,made a popping sound and quit working one day after three months of casual use. This product is so poor that it puts the entire Apple laptop product line in a poor light. Even though I am a big fan of OS X, I would have to think long and hard before buying more apple hardware.

The plug part of the adapter broke just after a week of use. The picture is deceiving. It is not close to the same quality and construction as the actual apple product. I ended up forking over the 80 bucks for the “real” adapter at the apple store which works just fine. Save yourself the headache. Don’t buy this.

The item was not the same as the picture. It was an off brand charger, similar to the cheaper ones you might find here on amazon. Mine was one part black and the other white. I payed a little more expecting to have a charger similar to the original that might last a bit longer than the others :X

This device has the same specs as the one from apple and works just as good. I like the design better because it uses the more traditional laptop power supply design as apposed to the wall wart design that apple uses. It fits perfectly, charges perfectly, and feels well constructed.

Maybe I just have bad luck…but this adaptor broke after a few months of use. I was happy with it at first–it’s a tight fit, not loose like my original adaptor. And I don’t think I’m rough on them–generally I plug in and turn on my computer in the morning, then unplug and turn it off at night. But now I’m back to my finicky old adaptor (which, despite its flaws, still more or less works three years later) because this one didn’t even last six months. Ouch.
